Join author Kathryn Kramer in the celebration of her latest book, The Rise and Fall of the Republic of West Delphi, at the East Corinth public library.
Called “a mischievous love song to a Vermont village,” Rise and Fall is threaded through with the question of why, in order to feel that we belong to a community, we must define someone else as not belonging. Though the place is particular, its underlying subject is nationalism: how it springs up like mushrooms whenever the conditions are right.
