Edith Forbes

Edith Forbes grew up on a family ranch in Wyoming. She graduated from Stanford University with a degree in English, which served to launch her on a career in computer programming. When she found herself trying to write poetry in Pascal, she abandoned computers in favor of less reliably logical pursuits, including farming, house renovation, and writing. Her primary interest is fiction, but she also has tried her hand at essays, poetry, screenplays, a cookbook, and, most recently, a memoir. Her four novels, Alma Rose, Nowle’s Passing, Exit to Reality, and Navigating the Darwin Straits, were published by Seal Press in Seattle. For many years, she lived on a small farm in Vermont, where she could see from her office window that her cows had broken through a fence. In 2018, she moved into town and now she can see from her office window that her chickens have escaped into the vegetable garden. Visit her website to learn more: https://edithforbes.com.
