Vermont Publishers Appear on WCAX

Samantha Kolber, owner and publisher of Rootstock Publishing, and Rachel Carter and Rachel Fisher of Onion River Press, were interviewed on WCAX TV in a segment on how Vermont publishers are bringing local authors to print. They explained how hybrid publishing is a solution between traditional publishing, which has become increasingly competitive, and self-publishing.

“We think of authors as the root of creativity, and we take that rootstock and publish it out into the world,” says Kolber. “In five years, we’re definitely going to keep growing, and double the amount of books per year.”
